Prunella Servatius-Hawke

Background:

Prunella was brought up in the English countryside surrounded by sisters and other animals. She left for South Africa in 1976 where her artistic talent developed, driven by a love of nature and colour. After returning to Europe in 1987, Prunella  followed a professional training at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague. From 1993 to 2002  she ran her own art school teaching adults and children averaging about 30 pupils per week.  From 2002 until 2005 she lived and worked in the Fayoum Oasis in Egypt where the desert and life in the Oasis were an endless source of inspiration culminating in an exhibition  of paintings of horses in the desert.  In May 2004 she had a solo exhibition called The Adventures of my Fayoumi Chickens which created quite a stir in the Egyptian art world. She produced a series of prints from watercolours of the Mena House Golf Course in Egypt. She was also commissioned by the Marriott Hotel Group for a series of prints of the Mirage City Golf Course in Egypt. Prunella is now working in The Hague, The Netherlands where she is specialising in house portraits in watercolour.

  1. You need a picture of yourself here. Or a self-portrait!

  2. Prunella, I was very impressed by your work, especially the horse racing pictures. Also the chicken pictures. Thanks for sending it!
